Supper Uppuma

Uppumavu is a south indian breakfast or brunch item done with coarse semolina and variety of vegetables like onion, tomato, beans, green peas..etc..It is very tasty and healthy.

Ingredients

Coconut oil
mustard seed .1,1/2 tablespoons
Black gram 1.1/2 tablespoon
.bengal got 1.1/2 tablespoon
red chilli 1
peanut ( roasted)1/4 cup
cashew nut 10 nos
Ginger 1 small piece
Green Chilli 3
Onion 1
Curry leaves
Salt to taste
Green peas 1/4 cup

Carrot 1/4 cup (finely choped)
beans 1/4 cup( finely chopped
Capsicum 1/4 cup (finely chopped)
water 1,3/4 cup
semolina 1 cup
Butter 1 tablespoon
Grated coconut 5 tablespoon
Sugar 1 tablespoon

How to make

Heat a pan and add 1.1/2 tablespoon coconut oil into it.After heating oil add mustard seed into it. Later add bengal gram and continue in low flame.After add 1 red chilli into it, add 1/4 cup roasted peanuts and 10 cashews along with it.. After that we can add ginger, green chilli and sliced onion into it, mix it well. we can add curry leaves and salt to taste, saute it well. After that we can add 1/4 cup green peas, carrots,beans ,tomato and capsicum into it. Cook it covering pan with a lid.Then take 1 cup semolina and add into that vegetable mix, and roast it well in low flame. We can add 1 ,3/4 boiled water into that and mix well. Later we can add one tablespoon butter into it.Cook it well for 3 minutes.Finally we can add 5 tablespoon grated coconut and 1 tablespoon sugar along with it.Off the flame. Now it ready to serve.
