Ingredients

Potatoes 2 large, boiled
White rice or idly rice 150gm
Onion 1 small finely chopped
Ginger 1 ,small piece,finely chopped
Green chilli to taste , finely chopped
Coriander leaves finely chopped
Peanut 8 nos( fried or non fried)
Turmeric powder 2 pinch
Cumin powder 1/4 tablespoon
Pepper powder 1/2 tablespoon
Garam masala 1/4 tablespoon
Salt to taste
Coconut oil

Ingredients for making Chutney

Coconut 1/2 of 1
Roasted Bengal gram 1 1/2 tablespoons
Ginger 1 small piece
Green chilli to taste
Coconut oil
Mustard seed 1/2 tablespoon
Curry leaves
shallot a little finely chopped

How to make

For preparing this breakfast, the ingredients are easily available in our home.We can prepare this in morning instead of idly or dosha. It very tasty and simple to make.
Take white rice soaked in water for 2 hours until soften it.Then grind it well, adding less quantity of water. Mash the boiled potatoes before that completely cooled,to peel them easily and get a smoothie texture when mashed.Mix the rice paste into mashed potatoes. Then add the chopped onion, ginger, green chilli and coriander leaves along with it. Add 2 pinch turmeric powder,1/2 tablespoon pepper powder,1/4 cumin seed powder and salt to taste. Then mix it well.Add water little by little to the batter to loosen the consistency and rest it for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes heat a deep bottom pan and add oil into it.Pour the batter using spoon into the pan and close the pan with lid and cook well.Flip and cook the other side of it.
To make chutney add the coconut into grinder along with bengal gram, green chilli, ginger and little warm water, then grind it well. Heat a pan and add mustard seeds,shallots and curry leaves into it . Add this to grinded chutney. Now our breakfast is ready to serve.
