Pineapple Pulissery Kerala style

Pineapple Pulissery is very popular among the pulissery recipes as pulissery can be made with a variety of veggies / fruits like pineapple, yam, vazhakka, mango etc.
Pulissery is a traditional Kerala side dish served in Sadya. Serve this with hot steaming rice, it will be heaven!

Ingredients

Pineapple (small)
Grated fresh coconut 1 cup
Cumin seed 1/4 tsp
Green chilli 2
Curry leaves
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Chilli powder 1tsp
Yogurt (curd) 3/4 cup
Jaggery (small piece) or sugar
Salt
Coconut oil 1tbsp
Dry red chilli 2
Mustard seed 1/2 tsp
Fenugreek seed 1/4 tsp
water 1 glass

Method of preparation
Transfer pineapple pieces in to cooker. Add chillipowder, turmeric powder
salt and water.
Cook 6 whistle on medium flame.
Grind the coconut with cumin seed, green chili, curry leaves. If
you want garlic, you can add.
Now pineapple is cooked well. Add grinded coconut.
Add required water and check the salt. Add salt if needed.
Let this boil well. After that add yogurt.
Yogurt should beat well before adding.
It should not boil. It should just get hot . You can add jaggery or
sugar. Mix well and turn off the flame.
Pour coconut oil into a heated pan. Add Mustard seed and Fenugreek
seed.
After it pops add dry red chilli and curry leaves.
Turn off the flame and add to curry .Mix well and close the
cooker for 2 minutes.
Pulissery is ready. Transfer to serving bowl.
You can prepare the same curry by using ripe Mango instead of
Pineapple.
