Ingredients

jaggery 200gm
water 3/4cup
raw rice 1cup
grated coconut 1cup
cooked rice 1/2cup
instant yeast 1/2tsp
cardamom powder 1/2tsp
salt
coconut oil

How to make

Heat pan,add jaggery and water.When the jaggery is melt,turn off the flame.Take a jar,add 6 hours soaked raw rice,grated coconut and half cup water.Grind well.Add boiled rice,yeast,cardamom powder and jaggery syrup.Grind finley.Pour it into a pan.Add salt.Mix well.Rest it for 5 hours.After 5 hours,mix it slowly.Take a vessel and spread coconut oil.Pour batter in to vessel.Steam cook for 30 minutes in medium flame.After 30 minutes our tasty vattayappam is ready.
