Roasted Rice flour – 2 cup (500 ml) – I used store bought ‘Nirapara’ Idiyappam flour
Skinless Whole black gram (urad dal/uzhunnu) – 1/2 cup (125 ml)
Chilli powder – 1 tsp (optional)
Black sesame seed – 1 tsp
Cumin seed – 1/2 tsp

Ghee/oil – 2 tsp
Asafoetida powder – 1/8 tsp
Salt – as to taste
Water – as required
Oil – for deep fry
